What do you see?

We can hold so tightly to the fear that we are stuck in our circumstances, we fail to notice that the cage door is wide open and the key is in our hands. We might not choose our circumstances but we can choose our lens.

Sometimes our lens gets very fixed and that’s exactly when we need a change of perspective. For me that generally means reconnecting with nature. There’s nothing like standing in a forest of trees that preceded you and will outlive you to provide some perspective. You can lose and find yourself there.

The Springbrook and Binna Burra trails in the Gold Coast Hinterland were gifts to me this week, in a week when I really didn’t have time for adventure. Making the time was worth it.
