Little steps


It’s easy to lose our way. Despite our best efforts, what was intended as a giant leap forward can sometimes feel like a frustrating step sideways or painful step backwards. These disappointments can crush our enthusiasm, damage our confidence and leave us scanning our environment for who or what is to blame.

If we are willing to suspend judgement in these moments and practice self compassion we make space to be kinder to ourselves and to others. We begin to see that a mountain can only be climbed in steps and even the very small steps count.
